We are well away in terms of the year so far. Can you believe it’s nearly March? Seems like last week we were tucking into the Christmas Turkey and were back to making office furniture.
It’s been a busy few weeks here at OfficeLife, largely down to the February half term and the ever popular Storagewall being specified by an increasing number of schools. But that’s enough about us for now.

Has the space in the office stayed the same for the past few years? Well chances are your business has grown, or changed over the same period, so it’s logical to assume that you needs will have too? Beige is back… well not really, but maybe one day. There has definitely been a resurgence of colour in the past couple of years with products like our TEK-10 ranges being specified in different colours. A fresh start for 2017

I don’t think anyone could have predicted a number of things that happened in 2016, what with Brexit, Trump being elected and of course Leicester winning the Premier League. I wonder what odds you would have gotten on those three… It just goes to show you never know what’s around the corner.
A combination of the above have contributed to uncertainty in the UK (and the premier league) which as we all know, has impacted the economy in the short term. That being said, once article 50 is triggered and implemented we should all have a bit more clarity, which should increase confidence and spending.
As I sit here Theresa May is in the US talking with President Donald Trump to begin trade negotiations with the US. Hopefully the Prime minister will cement that ‘special relationship’ that we have with America and hopefully help to prove that leaving the EU is the right thing for the UK.
It’s certainly been a case of hit the ground running after the Christmas break for OfficeLife. The team have been working pretty much flat out since returning to work in a period that is traditionally quiet in the furniture business. OfficeLife remains extremely positive, by investing in new machinery along with vans which should arrive in the next couple of months, helping to improve our already extensive product range in addition to improving efficiency in the factory.
Last year seems to all be about bespoke products with our Storagewall and Teacherwall seeing early growth. With increasing awareness our TEK-10 furniture range is also becoming more popular and is worth a look if you want a modern design in a wide variety of colours. TEK-10 was installed last weekend at a large blue chip investment bank in central London, an image of which is below.
So, it’s already the end of January, New Year’s resolutions are all but a distant memory, (I know that’s the case for me) the coldest month is out of the way and we can really get stuck in to 2017.
